Name Change Frequently Asked Questions
Why is UGIEFCU changing our name to ClearChoice FCU?
Our credit union has evolved over the years to serve multiple employee groups in addition to UGI Corporation. While UGI Corporation remains a major source of members the time has come to let all of our members and prospective members know that this credit union offers a ClearChoice in the marketplace.
Is staffing going to change?
No. You will still work with the same staff in the same location. Our commitment to service will not change.
What's going to change?
The only changes are visual. We have a new name and logo. Plus we took this opportunity to do an overdue update to our website to provide more information and make information easier to find.
Here's what will not change:
- Checks can be used until they need to be re-ordered
- Routing number
- Credit Card – Debit Cards can be used until until expiration
- Automatic withdrawals
- Direct deposits
Two changes you may notice:
- We will start changing UGIEFCU email addresses to ClearChoice FCU addresses in February. The current address will continue to work for three months.
- Effective February 1, 2012 when you do a transaction at a Shared Branch or Credit Union Service Center you will need to give the name of your credit union as ClearChoice FCU, not UGIEFCU.
Will there be any changes in my accounts, loans and other products offered by ClearChoice FCU?
No. There will be no changes due to the name change. Our product and service options and delivery methods will continue to evolve as the marketplace evolves. For example, we recently added Bill Pay to our online banking capabilities. That had nothing to do with the impending name change, we just needed to keep up with the services our members need and want.
Does this mean our rate and fee schedules will change?
No changes in rates and fees will result from the name change. Our rates and fees change as market conditions change and they will continue to do so.
